Localization placeholders

A translated message is still part of the program. NusaCode keeps message keys, placeholders and fallback behavior visible while you work across languages.

Treat translated messages as part of the application

NusaCode gives software message changes a Windows workspace where source files and an AI conversation can be considered together. Start with the interface behavior that needs attention, then identify the message catalog and the code that requests it. Ask the connected model to inspect those relationships before proposing wording or structural changes.

A translation-file review is a practical example. The text may change while message keys and placeholders such as {name} and {count} must remain compatible with callers. Describe those boundaries in your request and include the fallback policy for a missing key. This is an application maintenance task you can discuss, not a built-in translation service or a guarantee of linguistic quality.

Review the proposed edits as software as well as language. Check whether callers still receive the placeholders they supply, and exercise an intentionally absent key in your development environment. A fluent sentence can still break interpolation. Keep the patch focused enough that a language reviewer and a developer can each understand what changed.

NusaCode connects to supported OpenAI-compatible or Anthropic endpoints. An unfiltered model may be available through your chosen provider, with credentials where needed. The model's label does not establish translation accuracy or eliminate its restrictions; its context capacity and tool support remain properties of that model and server.

Before accepting a message-catalog edit

What should stay unchanged during a wording-only task?

Specify the message keys, placeholder names and file structure that callers rely on. Ask for wording changes within those boundaries. Review the diff for renamed identifiers or removed tokens before having a language reviewer assess the revised text.

How can I check a missing translation deliberately?

Use a development fixture that requests a key absent from the selected catalog. Verify the application's documented fallback behavior and visible output. Keep that fixture separate from production content so the test does not accidentally ship a missing message.

Can one review establish correctness for every language?

No. Check interpolation and fallback behavior in software, then obtain appropriate language review for the text itself. A model can propose phrasing, but natural wording and locale-specific expectations need assessment beyond whether a JSON file parses.

Does NusaCode require sending real user names?

Use synthetic names and counts when they reproduce the formatting issue. Configure the model endpoint deliberately and review connected-tool destinations. A local model requires a running server and does not make every tool or service local.
